Clean Shipping Index delivers market incentives for clean shipping.
CSI is an independent labelling system of the environmental
performance of ships and shipping companies.
It is a tool to achieve environmental progress in the shipping industry.

our vision:

clean ships sailing in healthy seas

How will we accomplish this?
By providing key players in the maritime supply chain with the information they need to make environmentally responsible decisions. This results in competitive economic advantages for environmental leaders in the shipping industry. It’s a win-win situation for both environment and business.

Clean Shipping Index is a non-profit organisation
All our work is coordinated by a secretariat and overseen by an independent board. To guarantee that all technical data is fairly scored and up-to-date, the methodology is reviewed by a technical committee of experts and researchers.
